Racquet Up Detroit
The Youth Development Program
Racquet Up Detroit (RUD) puts potential in motion with young Detroiters- from 5th through 12th grade and beyond- through educational programming, college and career exposure, character-building activities, travel, cultural outings, and the racquet sport of squash. The program strives to create opportunities for youth in Detroit by providing access to resources, activities, and experiences which will prepare them for post-secondary success and beyond.

Currently, RUD provides services to 150 5th-12th grade students and 42 graduates. The program's efficacy is demonstrated by the significant number of students who have successfully graduated from high school and achieved notable accomplishments following their participation in RUD including a master's degree, bachelor degrees, associate's degrees, work certifications, and countless other achievements.

Racquet Up officially opened the doors to its very own, state-of-the-art, 19,000 sq.ft facility in early 2022. It is fully equipped to foster growth and encourage success of our students, families, and the community. Our new home includes three classrooms, a college and career center, two study lounges, and eight world-class squash courts. This facility provides RUD with the capacity to serve thousands of Detroit students and families over the coming decades.

As an independent nonprofit, we are supported entirely by the generosity of the community. Your support makes Racquet Up possible!
